Free E-Books
Project Gutenberg - The original site for free text online, Project Gutenberg has more than 33,000 free books that you can use on almost any e-reader platform. Most of the titles are classics or otherwise in the public domain.

Baen Books - This science fiction and fantasy publisher offers many of their titles as free downloads. It is possible to save them to your computer or send them directly to a Kindle, for example.

The Online Books Page - The University of Pennsylvania Libraries have indexed hundreds of thousands of online books that are freely readable on the internet.
